PRICE: The price of LGG Neptune mousepad ranges from $54.99 to $109.99 USD before tax/shipping. It sits in the mid-range pricing for premium mousepads (reasonably priced along with other competitors). You get amazing quality mousepad + amazing customer support if you have any issues. *I paid 49.99 USD for this copy (pre-tax/shipping) (was on sale)

STITCHING/BASE: The stitching on the Neptune Pro is good and tightly woven. It is of excellent quality - no issues with fraying, loose threads, and inconsistency of how it is woven. Stitching sits just below surface level for a smoother experience. After more than three weeks of testing, I can confidently say the stitching is among the best on the market. I paid special attention to the main areas where I swipe the most, and despite heavy use, there were no signs of wear. It still looks nearly brand new, maintaining its clean and polished appearance.

Japanese SlimFlex Base

In this review, we're focusing on the firm base of the Neptune Pro, which uses the Japanese SlimFlex material (formerly known as PORON). While the base is firm, it didn’t grip my desk as well as I had hoped, and I experienced some slight sliding. However, when pressure is applied, it stays in place. During gaming, the mousepad remained stable since I was pressing down while using it. A bonus to its easy movability is that it allows for quick cleaning of your setup without generating any electrostatic buildup.

PACKAGING: The LGG Neptune Pro mousepad arrives securely in a flat box, packaged within a double-box setup for extra protection: first, the store’s brown envelope-style shipping box, followed by the flat box containing the mousepad itself. It’s a simple yet effective approach. I’ve never encountered any issues with LGG’s packaging, and I appreciate the minimal design, as I like to keep each mousepad's packaging for storage. The mousepad box features a spec sheet sticker placed in the center of the packaging.

PERFORMANCE/SURFACE: Now we’ve come to the most crucial part of the review: the surface and performance. The Neptune Pro is Lethal’s high-speed mousepad within their planetary lineup, offering minimal friction for effortless mouse movement. When using dot skates, I found the pad to feel slightly faster compared to full skates. Despite its speed-focused design, the Neptune Pro provides a good balance of control, especially for micro-adjustments, without sacrificing its fast profile. Plus, it performs well in humid conditions—there was no issue with the surface getting muddy or developing slow spots.

During testing across games like Overwatch, Rivals (Roblox), Marvel Rivals, Valorant, Spectre Divide, and Counter Strike 2, I was able to make micro-adjustments on targets with ease—something I struggled with on control pads. There were occasional overshots, but they were minimal. This mousepad truly shines in fast-paced FPS games, and if I had to choose an all-around pad for any game, the Neptune Pro would be a top contender. It has earned a spot in my top 5 mousepads of the year. With its consistent performance, it’s an excellent choice for anyone looking to try a faster pad for the first time.
